MuffinFinder Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of MuffinFinder, including our website, accounts, bakery profile tools, saved-shop features, and any email, in-app, or notification features we offer.
By using MuffinFinder, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to enter into these terms and comply with applicable law to use MuffinFinder.
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your login credentials secure, and for activity that happens under your account.
2. What MuffinFinder does
MuffinFinder helps users discover bakeries and muffin spots, save places, manage preferences, and, for approved users, claim and manage bakery profiles.
We may change, improve, suspend, or remove features at any time. Some features may be experimental, limited, or available only in certain regions or account states.
3. Bakery claims and bakery-managed content
If you claim a bakery or manage a bakery profile, you represent that you are authorized to act for that bakery and that the information you submit is accurate and not misleading.
We may review, reject, revoke, or limit bakery claims or bakery profile content at any time, including when ownership is disputed or information appears inaccurate.
4. Marketing opt-ins and communications
MuffinFinder may send service-related communications such as account notices, security alerts, claim-flow updates, and other operational messages.
If you opt in to receive marketing for a specific bakery, MuffinFinder may send promotional emails, in-app messages, or notifications on that bakery’s behalf. Unless we clearly tell you otherwise, MuffinFinder handles those marketing messages by proxy and does not grant that bakery direct access to your personal contact information solely because you opted in.
You can opt out of marketing communications using the unsubscribe link, in-app controls, notification settings, or any other method we provide for the relevant channel. Opting out of marketing does not stop service or security messages.
5. Public interactions and identity visibility
Some activity on MuffinFinder may be visible to other users or to bakeries, including profile names, comments, submissions, or other interactions you choose to make public.
We do not intend bakery marketing opt-ins alone to reveal your identity directly to bakeries. But if you post comments, participate in public interactions, or use a recognizable username, a bakery or another user may be able to infer who you are.
6. User content and conduct
You retain ownership of content you submit, but you grant MuffinFinder a non-exclusive license to host, use, reproduce, modify for formatting, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate, improve, and promote the service.
- Submit false, infringing, defamatory, abusive, or unlawful content.
- Impersonate another person or bakery, or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Scrape, interfere with, or disrupt the service or bypass access restrictions.
- Use MuffinFinder to send spam or unauthorized marketing.
7. Third-party services
MuffinFinder may rely on third-party services such as maps, analytics, hosting, authentication, and email delivery providers. Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices.
We are not responsible for third-party products, services, or content that we do not control.
8. Disclaimers
MuffinFinder is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that the service will be uninterrupted, accurate, or error-free.
Bakery listings, bakery claims, hours, menu details, marketing messages, and other information may change or be inaccurate. You should use your own judgment before relying on them.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MuffinFinder and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the service.
If we are found liable for any claim arising out of the service, our total liability will not exceed the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100) or the amount you paid us, if any, for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to MuffinFinder at any time if we believe you violated these terms, created risk for users or bakeries, or if continued operation is no longer practical.
You may stop using MuffinFinder at any time. Certain sections of these terms will survive termination, including sections relating to user content, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and disputes.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the service or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of MuffinFinder after updated terms take effect means you accept them.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms should be sent through the contact method MuffinFinder makes available at the time of your request.
